Experience new hunting actions with the Wirebug

Use the Wirebug to freely traverse locales and experience new hunting actions. Execute a Wiredash to quickly move forward and climb and run on walls. Try the evasive move Wirefall to regain your footing quickly and avoid follow-up attacks from monsters, or use the Wirebug to execute the Silkbind Attack using the characteristics of your weapon.

Wreak havoc using Wyvern Riding

Wyvern Riding is a new feature that lets you bind monsters so you can control them. Get the monster into a “mountable state” then approach and press the corresponding button to start Wyvern Riding. While Wyvern Riding, your Gauge will fill up as you attack other monsters. Once it’s full, you can use a powerful Mounted Punisher.

Buddies providing support

Palamutes are a new type of Buddy that will synchronize their attacks with you and let you ride on their backs. As long as you're riding a Palamute, you will not consume any stamina but you can use some items, recover health, and sharpen your weapons while on the move. Of course the Palicoes will provide you with various kinds of support. In single player mode, you can take any combination of two Buddies with you. In multiplayer mode, you can only bring along one Buddy, so choose wisely!

Gain boons from endemic life

The creatures that live in each area are known as endemic life and grant a variety of boons to hunters. Permabuffers increase your health, stamina, attack or defense until the end of the quest. Hunting Helpers can be captured and used as items. Temp buffers grant temporary boons when disturbed. Ensnaring life imparts helpful effects when hunting monsters. There are many more types of endemic life in this game, so make sure to discover them all and use them on your hunts!

Magnamalo

Magnamalo's hide is as tough as armour. The purple gas that rises from its body when it eats other monsters is called "Hellfire" which makes its already ferocious attacks even more destructive.
MONSTER HUNTER RISE - Goss Harag
Goss Harag

Goss Harag can inhale the cold air to freeze its own bodily fluids and then spit them out to create icy blades on its arms. When riled up, it turns red and becomes exceedingly dangerous.
MONSTER HUNTER RISE - Great Izuchi
Great Izuchi

Great Izuchi uses its scythe-like shaped tail to attack. They tend to roam their territory in groups with smaller Izuchi. Once they find their prey, they unleash a flurry of combination attacks.
MONSTER HUNTER RISE - Tetranadon
Tetranadon

An extremely gluttonous amphibian that swallows everything whole. Its stomach swells and it becomes slower after eating, but its attacks also become heavier and much more destructive.

Somnacanth

Somnacanth is extremely aggressive and tolerates no trespassers on its turf. It expels an intoxicating sleep powder from an organ on its neck, knocking out prey before it can resist.

Mizutsune

Mizutsune can secrete a peculiar foam that allows it to slide along the ground as it attacks its prey. It is as graceful as it is deadly.

Rathalos

Rathalos descends on invaders from the sky, attacking with poison claws. Be especially careful of its fiery breath!

Tigrex

Tigrex displays incredible ferocity with its claws, jaws, and developed limbs. Be wary of its thunderous roar!

Great Baggi
