Do I need a Nintendo Account to make a purchase?

No. While we recommend creating a Nintendo Account, you can also use guest checkout to make a purchase.

What are the benefits of using a Nintendo Account instead of using guest checkout?

Log in with your Nintendo Account for the best experience on My Nintendo Store. Save yourself the hassle of separate logins and receive dedicated offers based on your shopping preferences.

By using your Nintendo Account you'll be able to visit the My Account section to track the status of your orders at anytime, view your wish lists and (if you are opted in to receive marketing communications) you'll receive all the latest news and offers from the My Nintendo Store.

I have a Nintendo Network ID. Why is the login on the My Nintendo Store not working?

My Nintendo Store is only connected to Nintendo Account. If you have a Nintendo Network ID, you will need to create a Nintendo Account as well.

Do I need a Nintendo console in order to create a Nintendo Account?

No. Don't worry if you don’t have a Nintendo console, as you can still create free a Nintendo Account.
