I am pretty sure alot of people were skeptical with what on first appearances looks like a simple re-skinned Dynasty Warriors game.
But this is so much more.
From the second I turned this game on for the first time I was hooked.
The action is addictive, the difficulty curve is smooth and can get very high, the references to even the most obscure Zelda games are touching. And lets face it, it never gets dull smacking Bokogoblins over the head.

The DLC, whilst a controversial topic is handled well here. With free characters, and vast quantities of extra content for a lower price than some companies charge for a single character alone. Its enough to breath life into the game if for some strange reason you are getting bored.

The ability to take to the battlefield with characters other than Link is a welcome change. With some familiar faces and some very unfamiliar ones. All have their one strengths and playstyles, so if you dont like one, try another, there are plenty to choose from.

This game truly took me by surprise. Being a big fan of the "Zelda" franchise I figured I'd give this spin-off game a try.

I'd never played any of the Dynasty Warriors games prior to this although I was aware of them but avoided them as I figured they'd be a little shallow in their offerings to keep me coming back for more...

Well in this case I couldn't of been more wrong. Not only did I really appreciate the effort into mixing the world of Zelda into this game, but I found myself hooked, sinking hours after hours levelling up characters and unlocking new items, references, characters, you name it.

Better yet, my girlfriend whom also hadn't played any of the Dynasty Warriors games found herself just as hooked as me and really enjoyed the co-op gameplay the game offers, which was great being able to beat through the game whilst not having to alienate her to get an excuse to play ^_^
